How to use Slide Studio
A simple walkthrough for creating a deck, editing it, and presenting it.
1) Create a deck
- Go to Create.
- Pick what kind of presentation it is (Pitch, Technical, Training). This changes the AI’s style and structure rules.
- Choose your input: Prompt or GitHub repo.
- Add optional URLs and images. You can also upload images directly.
- Supported image uploads: common browser-supported image types (PNG, JPEG/JPG, WEBP, GIF, SVG).
- Tip: If an image URL doesn’t show, upload the image instead (some hosts block hotlinking).
- Click Generate draft.
2) Edit slides
After generation you’ll land in the editor. The left sidebar shows your slide list with thumbnails.
- Click a slide to edit title/body/notes.
- Reorder with up/down.
- Indent/Outdent to create vertical slides (deep dives).
- Drag a slide onto another to make it a vertical (down) slide under it.
- Add videos: add a video slide and paste an embeddable URL (e.g. YouTube /embed/ link). Video upload is not supported yet.
- Update theme colors (background/text/accent) for quick styling.
3) Present
Click Present to go full-screen slideshow mode.
Navigation model:
- Right/Left: main storyline / next topic.
- Down/Up: deeper detail under the current topic (vertical stack).
Note: right now decks are stored locally in your browser. In a later step, we’ll store them in Convex so they’re available across devices.
